Since 20 June 2005 the Zentrum Paul Klee has been presenting to the public the world's most important collection of works by Paul Klee (4000 works, or 40% of his oeuvre). The key task of the Centre consists of presenting different aspects of the collection; putting on attractive temporary exhibitions; mediating art in general to children, young people and adults, particularly at the children?s museum Kindermuseum Creaviva; organising concerts, theatre and other events; plus running a multifunctional and multimedia Museum Street for visitors to stroll down, interact and enjoy a break.
Research conducted at the Zentrum Paul Klee also facilitates art mediation. This new cultural institution in Bern was designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano and his Renzo Piano Building Workshop (Paris and Genoa). For more information please visit www.zpk.org
