With almost 13'000 participants, the Swiss Frauenlauf is the biggest on the European mainland. The race is run in various categories, including walking, over a distance of five kilometers. The Neufeld Stadium has become too small for this mighty onslaught of women, so, since 2005, the event takes place from the Länggass district into the centre of Bern. The Frauenlauf is an annual event for the whole family.
