Since the opening of the park in 1999 the Gurten, Bern's "house mountain", is a great place to while away the time and delights visitors from near and far.

The Gurten offers a wide range of entertainment with a focus on culture, leisure and games. The park out in the green creates a pleasant ambience for seminars and meetings and is a culinary highlight for gourmets. It is a perfect local recreation space with a children's paradise, miniature railway, barbecue areas and an observation tower. In good weather the view of the Alps is breathtaking. In summer the Gurten is one of the best known attractions for the many visitors to the annual Gurten Festivals.
