The New Bear Park

The heraldic animal of Bern is released into his new freedom on the beautiful slope to the Aare river. The creators of the new, bear-friendly Bear Park have built a landscape where Björk and Finn can climb, fish and play, but also just retreat and relax.
A visit to the Bear Park is a special experience for children as well as adults. On paths throughout the park to the Aare riverside path, visitors get a great insight into the lives of the bears. They can watch the bears play, bath and climb right in front of their eyes. The approximately 6000-sqm-large area goes from today’s Bear Pit down to the edge of the Aare river. Small forests, a lot of bushes, caves and a generous pool near the Aare river will allow the bears to live a real bear life.
