Camerata Bern
The world renowned chamber orchestra consists of eminent soloists and was founded in Berne in 1963. Its repertoire spreads from the baroque to contemporary music and its exceptional qualities have led to partnerships with several artists of international fame. CAMERATA BERN hosts its own subscription concerts cycle at the Paul Klee Centre.

The Dampfzentrale is a center for contemporary music and dance with a local, national an international flair. It is open to all forms of music and dance as well as the gray areas in between. It has also experimented with crossovers between performance and club culture.

Berner Kammerorchester
The BERNER KAMMERORCHESTER (BKO) is a young and dynamic professional orchestra. Under the baton of Johannes Schlaefli, the BKO has developed and experimented successfully with new formats such as dance concerts and makes an important contribution to the cultural life of the city. The orchestra already has 70 world premieres and more than 200 Bernese or Swiss premieres to its name.

Stadttheater Bern
Bern’s City-Theatre – Stadttheater Bern – presents approximately 300 performances a year ranging from Operas, Operettas and Musicals to Ballet, Contemporary Dance and plays. The theatre produces around 30 evenings throughout it’s Sept-June Season, ranging from classic works to contemporary premieres while the Opera and Ballet also perform with the Bern Symphony Orchestra. In August 07 a new sister-venue for the Stadttheater opened – the Vidmarhalle 1 and 2; two venues seating 300 and 80 respectively. Together the three stages form a fantastic framework for presenting all styles of theatre relevant to our time.
